Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 August 2026 Last updated: 13 August 2026

Kiracard ("Kiracard", "we", "us") is operated by Yuliy Afanasoglu, Individual Entrepreneur, registered in Tbilisi, Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Kiracard mobile app collects, why, and your rights over it.

We designed Kiracard to work with as little personal data as possible: you can use it without giving us your name, email, or creating a traditional account.

1. What we collect

Card photos. When you scan a card, the photo is sent to our servers and to our AI recognition provider to identify the card. Photos are processed only to return a result and are not stored as images. We keep only the recognized card identifier and the scan outcome (matched / ambiguous / no match).

Account identifier. On first launch we create an anonymous account tied to your app installation (a random identifier), so your collection can be saved. This does not require your name or email. If you later choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we store the identifier they provide to link your collection to that sign-in.

Your collection. Cards you save, quantities, and any manual prices you enter.

Usage and device data. App events (for example: scan started, screen viewed), app version, device type and operating system, and coarse region derived from your connection. We use this to understand how the app is used and to improve it.

Subscription status. Whether you have an active Kiracard Pro subscription. Payments are handled by Apple and our subscription provider; we never receive or store your card number or payment details.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, photos library, or advertising identifiers.

2. Why we use it

3. Service providers we share data with

We use the following processors, each only for the purpose above:

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising.

4. Legal basis (EEA / UK users)

We rely on your consent (requested on first launch before any tracking or scanning) and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the app. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or by discontinuing use of the app.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us (see Contact). Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask for information that lets us locate your specific account data.

You can delete your collection and associated data by requesting deletion of your account.

6. Data retention

We keep your collection and account data while your installation is active. Scan photos are not retained. If you request deletion, we remove your collection and account data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law or resolve disputes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

Kiracard is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, communicated in the app.
